Recent Events - 2012
Monday 26th March
BCEF hosted a workshop for SNP Chairs at 7pm at Bromley Football Club. The evening gave the panel representatives the opportunity to share best practice and to identify the local differences.
Friday 23rd March
BCEF hosted a Youth Conference on Friday 23rd March at the Educational Development Centre. Over 80 pupils from 7 schools attended, accompanied by staff, and had a very productive day with workshops on Cyber Bullying, Alcohol Awareness, and Mutual Respect. The day was rounded off with a lengthy Q&A session with answers from a panel that included Councillor Stephen Carr, Councillor Tim Stevens JP, and Chief Superintendent Steph Roberts. Wednesday 7th March
The BCEF public meeting was held on at 7pm at Bromley Football Club, Hayes Lane, Bromley BR2 9EF – it offered the opportunity to meet the new Police Borough Commander, Chief Superintendent Steph Roberts.
Saturday 25 February
BCEF held an event called Age Exchange in Orpington for young and old alike. Supported by Veneratio, the day brought members of Hayes School, Priory School, and Bromley Youth Council together with some of our older residents including a lady who had served in the Royal Air Force during World War 2 during which she drove crews to and from their Lancaster bombers. Councillor Tim Stevens JP joined a range of artists and presenters as part of a varied afternoon of exchanging information with many finding similarities despite the generational gap and some discovering new means of communicating with friends and family. Photo
