=====
The primary aim of the Forum is to hold the Safer Bromley Partnership (SBP) to account for its actions in making Bromley a safer place to live, work, learn and play. When it comes to any area of community safety, the BCEF is the group where you can bring any issues or concerns you have with the Safer Bromley Partnership whether its police, the fire service, ambulance or the council. We hold regular public meetings but you can also write, telephone or email us with your concerns.
Each partner has a statutory duty to cooperate in terms of policing and community safety, ensuring effective community engagement in community safety at Borough level. The BCEF is there, on behalf of the community, to hold those partners to account for community safety work. The emphasis of Community Engagement today is a more pro-active, dynamic, and accountable process of cooperation and collaboration between the partners and local people in delivering a safer environment in which to live and work. The BCEF is a natural link for Safer Neighbourhood Panels to feed into and issues and concerns raised in one ward that extend over the boundaries and have a borough wide impact, can then be shared with the police, the council and other partners.
The Safer Bromley Partnership comprise statutory and other partners
who together are required to form a Crime & Disorder Reduction
Partnership (CDRP). Membership includes:
Metropolitan Police Service, Metropolitan Police Authority, London Borough of Bromley, NHS
London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, Affinity Sutton (formerly Broomleigh Housing Association), Community Links, Probation Service
& Magistrates Court.
